Clinton/Obama : race and gender clashes ?

Although both Clinton and Obama claim that they don’t want to turn their campaign into a clash over race or gender, escalated charges and countercharges between the two camps came these last days.
So what can we think about the declaration of Obama who explained that "the American public is willing to judge people on the basis of who can best deliver the kinds of changes that they’re so desperately looking for, and that’s the kind of movement that we want to build all across the country" ?

Analysis Just three Democratic candidates took part in the scorching debate cosponsored by CNN and the Congressional Black Caucus in Myrtle Beach, S.C.: Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards. Some feminists are insisting misogyny is behind the vitriol spewed at Senator Clinton. It's about the war, stupid! Most of us who are not voting for Hillary are not voting for her because she was for the war before she was against it. And even now that she is against it, she refuses to acknowledge she was wrong and apologize for her poor decision. In addition to, Hillary Clinton has taken on more personas in her public life than Sybil. I haven't heard or read about any Barack (...)

So on the Democratic side, which candidate is the candidate for change, Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama? (or one of the others?) Barack Obama is clearly a fresh new appealing face. He speaks eloquently and is inspiring larger and larger groups of supporters. Hillary Clinton in the past week has been arguing that 'talking about change' is different from 'making change happen' The point is valid. I have read parts of Obama's book, "The Audacity of Hope," and as (...)
